**I started writing this a month ago, so I will finish it now**
I think of life more as a baseball game, granted I don't know much about the game but I do know the basics. I am almost sure I wasn't the first person to ever use a game of baseball as a metaphor for life. When you are little it's like you are sitting on the bench watching everyone else play. Keeping a watchful eye on everything they're doing and learning the rules. Getting eager to get out there and take a swing for yourself.
You finally get your chance to get out and play the game. After striking out a few times you realize that it wasn't as easy as it looked. You'll have your positive people/teammates encouraging you and helping you get better. Then of course what is life with out the negative/opposing team. They will bring you down and make you frustrated with the game of life. You slowly learn to work with what you got and make the best of it. Eventually you'll hit the ball out into the field and get a chance at the bases.
The bases are a-whole-nother story. Some times you'll be able to hit a home run and make it all the way around the bases by your self. Most of the other times you will need the help of a teammate to get you the goal, home plate.
"You live you learn, you love you learn,
You cry you learn, you lose you learn,
You bleed you learn, you scream you learn.
You grieve you learn, you choke you learn,
You laugh you learn, you choose you learn,
You pray you learn, you ask you learn,
You live you learn."
Alanis Morissette- You Learn
I am not sure my whole point on this post, I think I was in a bad mood when I started writing it. I really am only keeping it cause I loved the title I came up with for it haha. It fits perfect! It's always best to be a positive teammate for those in your life!
"The trouble with baseball is that by the time you learn how to play it, you can’t play it anymore."- Frank Howard
